One More Little Snippet of Info

Ok so, I kinda need to so some serious catch up work because I'm super behind because of band auditions and homework an such...BUT! This weekend, I'll have lots of time so I'm gonna get some stuff done. Well, anyway, that's pretty much all I have to say at this moment. Until the next post, au revoir, guys.

Update of Sorts

Heeeeeeyo, ok so...I haven't actually done much recently that has anything to do with my project. I know....it's sad. I doubt anything will happen during spring break so I wouldn't expect any posts from me. The next week, however, I plan to actually get another drawing done since I'm pretty off schedule. And unfortunately, I can't just bring a whole jar of graphite powder to class...anyway, there's my update.

The Basic Stuff

So basically, graphite drawing is about darks and lights and how to bring them out. It's a lot of rubbing on powder with a rag, pulling it off with a chamois (a rag type thing that's made of leather), draw some detailing, erase some stuff, spray it with some workable fixative and then you're done. Just kidding...it's not that simple. If you are doing buildings or faces, you have to proportion it, or else it'll be chaos and nothing will look right and just frustration everywhere. You also have to know about the jumps between shades. In reality, it's actually pretty complicated.
