I've Kinda Started My Speech

So...I've sort of ish begun the writing process for my speech that I gotta do. Because it's a grade. Anyway, I've already gotten some research I can use. It's gotta be two minutes long. Shouldn't be too terribly hard, right? I hope not. Anyway, that's pretty much all I have to say for this post.

Progress is Actually Happening

So last week, I didn't get a post up, but in my free time, I got a new drawing done. I haven't decided whether or not I'll post a pic of it or just wait. We'll see. Meanwhile, I'm gonna try to draw something else. And actually, if anyone wants to comment a suggestion of what to draw, go ahead because I have no idea what to draw. Anyway...see you guys later.

One More Little Snippet of Info

So if I release my inner computer geek, and can figure stuff out, I'll try to post a peak at my first drawing which is not the best buuuuuuut..oh well. Anywayyyyy....bye again.

I Happen to be the Queen of Procrastination...

Ok so, I kinda need to so some serious catch up work because I'm super behind because of band auditions and homework an such...BUT! This weekend, I'll have lots of time so I'm gonna get some stuff done. Well, anyway, that's pretty much all I have to say at this moment. Until the next post, au revoir, guys.

Update of Sorts

Heeeeeeyo, ok so...I haven't actually done much recently that has anything to do with my project. I know....it's sad. I doubt anything will happen during spring break so I wouldn't expect any posts from me. The next week, however, I plan to actually get another drawing done since I'm pretty off schedule. And unfortunately, I can't just bring a whole jar of graphite powder to class...anyway, there's my update.

The Basic Stuff

So basically, graphite drawing is about darks and lights and how to bring them out. It's a lot of rubbing on powder with a rag, pulling it off with a chamois (a rag type thing that's made of leather), draw some detailing, erase some stuff, spray it with some workable fixative and then you're done. Just kidding...it's not that simple. If you are doing buildings or faces, you have to proportion it, or else it'll be chaos and nothing will look right and just frustration everywhere. You also have to know about the jumps between shades. In reality, it's actually pretty complicated.

Update Thingy

Hellllllooooo people. So I have an update for you guys. This past Saturday and Sunday, I went to this drawing class thing at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. It was kinda weird because I was the only child... Aaaaanyway, I got some stuff done, drew some stuff, erased some stuff, threw some powder on to some paper, smudged it around a little, and bam! A decent picture of an astronaut. But this...is messy business. Graphite everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Graphite here. Graphite there. On the floor. But none the less, I got stuff done so congratulations to me. See you all in my next post.
